A hearing was jointly organised by the European Commission (DG Justice and Consumers) and the European Parliament (LIBE, PETI, AFCO and JURI Committees) on 15 March 2016. The hearing gave a timely opportunity to further reflect, with all actors concerned, on concrete avenues to advance EU citizenship.
The objective of the hearing was to look at ways of simplifying and facilitating the exercise of EU citizens' rights in their daily life, as well as to promote common EU values and democratic participation.
Please note that places are limited and therefore registration is obligatory (on a first come-first served basis) for those who do not have an EP accreditation. Please register to the event online: Public Hearing: EU citizenship in Practice.
Location : European Parliament Room JAN 4Q1
