Highlights - PETI Study on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities under UN Convention: 28.11.2017 - Committee on Petitions

In its meeting of 28 November, the Committee will hear a presentation of a study commissioned by Policy Department C entitled “The Protection Role of the Committee on Petitions in the Context of the Implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities - Update 2017”. The author of the study is Mark Priestley, Professor of Disability Policy and Scientific Director of the Academic Network of European Disability experts.

The consideration of the main findings of the study will provide an opportunity for a follow-up debate to the many petitions on disabilities considered by PETI in the past.
